Any fan of Super Bowl commercials (or just commercials in general) remembers the 1992 Pepsi Super Bowl spot featuring Cindy Crawford. If you don’t, check it out above (or watch it again for old time’s sake). It’s okay, we’ll wait.
In an attempt to prove that sequels and reboots aren’t always a bad thing, Pepsi has announced that its 2018 Super Bowl spot will be a remake of that classic ad featuring the now 51-year-old supermodel and her 18-year-old son.
We’re not sure how closely the new ad will recreate the original (that’s a screenshot from the new spot below), but since the original featured some pre-teen boys oogling Crawford (but actually the “great new Pepsi can”), casting Crawford’s son in the same role as the boys might be a little weird.
